Dr. McGhee loves working with people in the school environment; students, parents, teachers and staff. He believes we are much stronger and more intelligent when we work together to meet the needs of our students. One of his priorities is to help create a professional learning community in which the needs of each individual student are met. JCCHS is committed to the relentless pursuit of educational excellence! He is very proud of his family which consists of his wife Freda, and his daughters, Chelsea, Rachel, and Maggie Beth. Dr. McGhee’s hobbies include working out, jogging, and trout fishing.
Mr. Lancaster is a 1981 graduate of Johnson High School in Hall County. He attended Gainesville College and graduated in 1984 with an Associate's Degree in Political Science. He then attended the University of Georgia and graduated in 1987 with a BS.Ed. in Social Science Education. He also has extensive course work in Political Science from UGA.He student taught with Dr. Jane Scales at Jackson County High School. He spent some time on Congressman Ed Jenkins Congressional Staff in 1987. He began his teaching career in 1988 at West Hall High School, where he taught Social Studies and coached football, basketball, and golf for six years. He then came to Jackson County in 1994 to teach Social Studies and coach football, basketball, and golf. He received his Masters in Social Science Education from North Georgia College and State University in 1995. In 2000, he received his Education Leadership Degree from Lincoln Memorial University. In 2001, he took over as the Associate Athletic Director and in 2006 he assumed the Athletic Director's position. His hobbies are sports, traveling, photography, and model trains. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife.He believes that all students can be successful in school. They need to be involved in extracurricular activities that will afford them the opportunities to grow and learn. "We are preparing the leaders of tomorrow."The best thing that he likes about school is the camaraderie of friends striving for the same goals. He started school in the first grade and has been going to school ever since. There is not a day that goes by that he still doesn't learn something new.
Mrs. Phillips received her Bachelor's degree from UGA, Master's degree from Brenau, and her Specialist's degree from University of Alabama. She is married to Mitch Phillips, and has two children, Adria and Andrew. Adria attends school at West Jackson Primary School while Andrew is only a few months old and still has a few years left before he gets to enjoy his first time in school. Mrs. Phillips enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing the piano, reading, and scrap booking.
