Summer Challenge

GSES Super Star Summer Challenge!
It’s that time again… time for a Super Star Summer Challenge from GSES! This challenge will help you continue to build a strong mind and body! We want ALL students to read 1,000 minutes* and exercise for 1,000 minutes during the months of June and July. (25 minutes, 5 days a week reading AND 25 minutes, 5 days a week exercising) Attached is a calendar to keep up with your minutes in both reading and exercise. First, complete the calendar, and get it signed by a parent. Then bring the completed calendar back to school in August, and turn it in to your new teacher. All students who meet the challenge will be recognized in our first Celebration and will receive extra recess and a frozen treat! This challenge is an awesome way to keep your mind and body strong all summer long. Do you have what it takes to be a Super Star?
Good Luck,
GSES Teachers
*Students who need reading support can have books read to them for their 1,000 minutes of reading.
**We know there are kids who need even more challenges, so read the back to see other challenge opportunities!
