JCCHS Drama: Evening of One Acts!
The JCCHS Drama department will be holding their "Evening of One Acts!" this Thursday and Friday. Curtains will rise at 7:00 PM, and the price of admission is $5 at the door. Two one act plays will be presented, both of which are "Twilight Zone-esque" and will be suitable for an audience 14 years of age and up. Please come and support our drama students.
The FCCLA club would like to encourage students to be a "Pink Panther" this Friday and wear pink is support of breast cancer awareness month. Students who have purchased shirts from the student leadership team are encouraged to wear these, however all students are encouraged to wear some form of pink apparel. Please help to support this cause.
Lady Panthers: Second Round of State Playoffs
Our Lady Panther Softball team will be playing Ringgold in the second round of the state playoffs, with Game 1 starting at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. Game 1 will be followed immediately by Game 2, and if necessary, Game 3 will be played Thursday at 4:30 pm. The games are best two out of three. Please come out and support our Lady Panthers!
Tickets for state playoff game are mandated by the GHSA at $7 per ticket.
FFA Students Exhibit Livestock at the Georgia National Fair
The Georgia National Fair Steer and Heifer Shows were held on October 3rd – 5th at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. Jackson County FFA member Cindy Cooper placed 2nd in Eleventh Grade Showmanship. In Senior Showmen, Allie Duck and Katie Fife placed 2nd and 7th, respectively. The Swine Show was held on October 8th-10th at the Fairgrounds in Perry, and Cindy Cooper placed 1st in 11th grade showmanship and on Saturday placed 1st in class with her barrow and went on to earn Reserve Grand Champion Barrow for the show.
