Dear Parents of Rising 6th Graders:
We value your input and we are seeking feedback on our dress code policy for next school year. There
has been some discussion among parents and staff about the possibility of implementing school
uniforms or uniform dress code.
Please look over the brochure concerning the WJMS dress code proposal. In it you will find
information concerning research behind dress codes in schools as well as sample clothing items and
prices.
During our student-led conferences the week of February 6-10 we are asking that you submit feedback
concerning next year’s dress code proposal. After viewing the brochure, please fill out the form below.
There will be a box in the front office for you to place the form.
After analyzing the feedback and ensuring enough responses have been submitted, we will make a
decision whether or not to move forward with this proposal. We may also have an information night in
which parents will be given an opportunity to submit ideas and/or ask question in an open forum
setting.
All information concerning our uniform dress code proposal can be obtained in the front office at
WJMS, from your child’s teacher during conferences, and on our website. We look forward to hearing
from you.
Sincerely,
WJMS

Dear Stakeholders,
On behalf of the Jackson County Board of Education, I want to invite
you to complete a survey on the qualities that you would like to see in
our next superintendent. The Georgia School Board Association (GSBA) is
assisting the Jackson County Board of Education by conducting the
preliminary steps in choosing a new superintendent for our school
system.
GSBA will receive the applications and present all of them to the Jackson County Board of
Education sometime after the application deadline of March 2, 2012. Meanwhile, the Jackson
County Board of Education wants to hear from you-parents, guardians, faculty, staff, and any
other members of the community-on what characteristics you believe the new superintendent
should possess.
Please take a few minutes of your time to complete this short
survey. Note that one of the final questions allows for constructive
written comment. A summary of the survey results will be given to the
Jackson County Board of Education, and it will be very helpful as the
applications are reviewed and qualified candidates are interviewed.
Thank you for you input into this important decision.
The link to the Jackson County Superintendent Qualification Community Online Survey is http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22E5YJQLQQB. The survey will be open through
January 27, 2012.
Sincerely,
Lynne Massey Wheeler, Chair
Jackson County Board of Education

As a public institution, we are held accountable on many fronts! At NJES, we want to work together with our community. This community includes all stakeholders: parents, students, teachers, and business partners. We have reached out to our students to gather their opinions of our school. Now, it is the parents chance to provide us with your thoughts on our performance. Please take a few minutes to reflect as you answer the survey. We will use the results to guide us in the way we approach our calling!
