Family Language Night
What is ESOL and what does it mean for you and your child?
How can I help my child with school if I don't speak English?
How is our family culture represented at school?
Should I teach, read, and speak another language with my child while they are working on English at school?
Please join the discussion about these and other topics unique to families speaking languages other than English. You will learn what a school day is like for your child, share questions and comments with other parents, hear student questions and comments, and receive ideas on providing family support at home that also helps students in the classroom. This even will provide parents with valuable answers about our school design and how it impacts your child's language development. Children are welcome to join us with special activities during the whole group presentation.
When: October 15, 2015
6:30PM - 7:30PM

Help us Grow our Farm to School Program
PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS
PLEASE HELP US GROW OUR FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
We are in need of many tools and supplies for our Farm to School program. Mr. Lush, our wonderful gardener and teacher, would love to have enough tools and gloves for each student in the class.
To help us do that, we have envelopes that you can pull off the wall and purchase or donate what is inside that envelope. Please end in the doations by September 25.
If you have any questions, please stop by the front office. Thank you so much for supporting South Jackson Elementary School!
