2nd Grade Awards Day Change

The time for 2nd Grade Awards has changed to 8:30 am, Tuesday, May 21st.  Kindergarten is still Wednesday May 22nd, 8:30 am and 1st Grade is May 22nd at 1:00 pm.  

2013- 2014 Kindergarten Roundup

Please call the school (706-654-2243) to make an appointment to register your child for Kindergarten.  Children who live in Jackson County and will be five (5) years old by September 1, 2013, should be registered for Kindergarten during this time.

You will need to bring the following:

1.  Your child

2.  Child's birth certificate

3.  Child's Social Security card

4.  Child's immunization record

5.  Proof of residency in school district (911 address only)

You must have permanent custody of the child you are registering.  Registering your child during this Round-up will help ensure that we have adequate staff and materials on hand when school begins.

Safety Procedures

As you know it is our top priority to ensure that West Jackson Primary School is a safe place for your child and our staff.  Many recent events have caused us to reflect upon our current safety procedures. With the assistance of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department we have reviewed and made several changes that will enhance the security of our school.
